Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-19. This policy describes how the private automation software operated on the dankava.com homelab ("the software") accesses, uses, stores, and shares information obtained from Google APIs.

What the software accesses

With the account owner's explicit consent, the software may access the following data from the owner's own Google Account:

• Google Drive — to upload and verify encrypted backups of the owner's self-hosted services, and to read or manage files as directed by the owner.
• Gmail — to read, organize, and send email on the owner's behalf when the owner requests it.
• Google Calendar — to read and manage the owner's calendar events when requested.
• Contacts, Sheets, and Docs — read-only access used only when the owner directs the software to work with those items.

How the data is used

Data is used solely to perform the tasks the owner requests on their own account. No data is used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the requested tasks.

Storage and security

Backups are encrypted before upload; the encryption key never leaves the owner's server. OAuth credentials are stored on the owner's private server and are not exposed through any public channel.

Sharing

No data is shared with any third party. No data is sold or transferred. The software runs entirely on the owner's private infrastructure.

Retention and deletion

Backups and credentials are retained only on the owner's own systems, which the owner fully controls. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google Account permissions page (myaccount.google.com/permissions).

Limited Use

The software's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
